After an incident that landed them in the hospital, the death of LIEE was kept a secret. An android that supposedly retains the memories and personality of LIEE, codenamed REY, was created to fool their fans into believing they are still alive... including REY themselves.

Despite being very private about their past before debuting as LIEE, a member of the K-Pop girl group ICONIC, Veli claims to have been from a small town in Maryland called Harlow Haven.They also studied nursing and worked a few odd jobs before working at Metamorphose Entertainment assisting with song production on the music competition show Solovival. While on Solovival, they worked with several contestants, including Junghee and Josefina, who they then debuted alongside as a member of ICONIC.ICONIC is formed in hopes of creating "Immortal Idols": talent with skills that can be preserved with the help of artificial intelligence and cybernetic augmentations. Due to this, Veli's and the other members' voices and likenesses are used to create things like vocal synthesis databases, chatbots, toys, and other similar products to promote a sense of close relationships with their fans, who are lovingly called "PAPARAZZI".These acts of talent preservation are the foundations of their UTAU, NNSVS, DiffSinger, Diff-SVC, and many other vocal synthesis voicebanks.
